Why Quality?
The difference between a house built for "resale"
as opposed to built by the owner/builder for "his family" is quality.
Anytime a builder spends extra money on a
house for sale it is money straight out of his pocket. Money gone forever because it
does not add to the selling price of the house. When I built this house for my
family, I was interested in quality that is more than skin deep. I invested in
quality that would reduce maintenance, increase comfort and insure that the house would
continue to provide us safe shelter for many years to come.
Does extra steel in the foundation or drainage gravel under the basement concrete slab and around the house increase the selling price? NO.
Does a 35 year roof or Gutter Helmet increase the selling price? NO.
Does concrete lawn edging, brick paver front walk way and patio, or low-voltage lighting increase the selling price? NO.
Does the covered front porch or the Trex deck with stainless fasteners or the aluminum chimney shroud that will never rust or need painting represent a level of quality that will increase the selling price? After all, this cost thousands of dollars, reduces maintenance, and will last well over 50 years. NO WAY.
The fact is that the selling price of a house is determined by the prices and standards of the other normal houses near a property. Quality is nice, but it will not increase the resale value of a house. That is why you should inspect this house carefully and that is why our loss is your gain. The extra quality we included in the construction of this house which cost us many dollars per square foot will cost you nothing.
